Most fillers are ready to sand in 20 to 30 minutes at room temperature. Always follow the product label and mix ratio for consistent cure.

Key the surface with 80 to 120 grit before applying filler. Shape with 80 to 120, refine with 180 to 240, then glaze and finish 320 to 400 before primer.
