Paint Application Guidelines

  1. Surface Preparation: Before commencing the painting process, it is paramount to ensure that the surface intended for painting undergoes a comprehensive cleaning with a degreasing agent. This preparatory step is vital for eliminating any substances that could hinder the paint's adhesion to the surface. Following cleaning, the area must be primed with an Etch primer to further enhance paint adhesion and ensure a superior finish.
  2. Masking: To protect regions not targeted for painting, precise masking must be employed. This critical step helps to avoid overspray, facilitating a neat and exact finish.
  3. Application Procedure: To achieve the desired depth of colour and uniform coverage, we recommend the application of 3 to 4 coats of paint. It is imperative that each layer is applied in a consistent manner, utilizing the same technique to ensure an even and coherent finish.
  4. Curing and Drying Times: Following the application, the paint will become touch-dry in approximately 2 hours, provided it is a 2K air dry system. Full curing, which imparts maximum hardness and resilience to the paint layer, will occur within 48 hours. Adhering to these timelines is crucial for the proper planning of further handling or use of the item, guaranteeing the durability and excellence of the painted finish.
