What are the drying and curing times for aerosols?

1K aerosol is typically touch-dry within 15–30 minutes and handle-dry within about 30–60 minutes. 2K aerosol is often touch-dry in around 40 minutes and reaches full cure in 24–48 hours, depending on temperature, humidity and ventilation.

How many coats do you recommend?

Apply 2 to 4 light coats, allowing the recommended flash-off between coats. The exact number depends on the colour chosen, the colour being covered and the substrate.

Do I need to use a primer before the topcoat?

Yes, we strongly recommend using the correct primer for the substrate, such as glass, fibreglass or plastics. The appropriate primer improves adhesion, coverage and durability. See our primers page and plastic primer for guidance.

Dulux Trade 70YR 44/378 - Ginger glow 6 Aerosol Spray Paint is one of the colours from the Dulux Trade Aerosol Spray Paint Colour Chart and is available in Cellulose, Acrylic and Synthetic Enamel aerosol systems.

All our paints are custom mixed using premium Lechler binders and colourants for a consistent, long-lasting finish.

Dulux Trade 70YR 44/378 - Ginger glow 6 Aerosol Spray Paint can be supplied as 400ml aerosols (1K or 2K with built-in hardener), litre tins, and touch-up pots or pens.

Choose your gloss level from Matt (0%) through to Full Gloss (90%).

Optional additives include UV protection and high-resistance packages for tougher environments.

Our aerosols feature a vari-nozzle for wide/narrow patterns, HVLP-style atomisation, minimal overspray and stable pressure.

2K aerosol: often touch-dry in around 40 minutes. Full cure is usually achieved within 24–48 hours, influenced by temperature, humidity and ventilation. Cooler or damp conditions will extend curing time.

As a guide, a 400 ml aerosol will cover up to approximately 2 m² per coat. Actual coverage varies with colour, substrate profile, preparation and application technique.

For best results apply 2 to 4 light coats. The exact number depends on the colour selected, the colour being covered and the substrate. Allow the recommended flash-off between coats.

We strongly recommend using the correct primer for most applications. Choose a primer that suits the substrate, for example glass primers, fibreglass primers and plastic primers. The right primer improves adhesion, coverage and durability.
