1K aerosol is typically touch-dry within 15–30 minutes and handle-dry within about 30–60 minutes. 2K aerosol is often touch-dry in around 40 minutes and reaches full cure in 24–48 hours depending on temperature and humidity. Light coats and ventilation help; heavy passes slow curing.

How many coats and what is the recoat time?

Apply 2 to 4 light coats, observing the recommended flash-off window between coats. Building film gradually improves appearance and durability.

Do I need a primer and which one should I use?

Yes. Use the correct primer for the substrate, for example glass, fibreglass or plastics, to improve adhesion, coverage and durability. See our primers page and plastic primer for guidance.

Federal Standard 595 B-36118 - Dark Grey Matt Aerosol Spray Paint is part of the Federal Standard Aerosol Spray Paint Colour Chart. Orders are batch mixed to specification using premium Lechler binders and colourants for repeatable colour across aerosols and tins.
