How do I get a neat edge and keep overspray to a minimum?

Use quality masking tape on clean, dry surfaces. Seal tape edges with a light first pass. Spray light, even coats and aim the fan just off the masked edge. Remove tape once the final coat has tacked off. Adjust the vari-nozzle to suit the area and reduce overspray.

Can I mix aerosols and tins on the same project?

Yes. Use the same colour/code and system, and test first. Blend on natural breaks such as trims or panel edges to hide texture differences. Keep gloss level consistent for a uniform finish.

Help! I’m seeing runs, orange peel or dry spray

Runs: too much paint or too close—allow to cure, de-nib/flat and recoat lightly. Orange peel: heavy coats or poor conditions—use lighter passes and maintain distance. Dry spray: too far away or windy—move closer (around 15–25 cm) and control airflow.

RAL 7010 Tarpaulin Grey Aerosol Spray Paint is one of the colours from the RAL Classic Aerosol Spray Paint Colour Chart and is available in Cellulose, Acrylic and Synthetic Enamel aerosol systems.

All our paints are custom mixed using premium Lechler binders and colourants for a consistent, long-lasting finish.

RAL 7010 Tarpaulin Grey Aerosol Spray Paint can be supplied as 400ml aerosols (1K or 2K with built-in hardener), litre tins, and touch-up pots or pens.

Choose your gloss level from Matt (0%) through to Full Gloss (90%).

Optional additives include UV protection and high-resistance packages for tougher environments.

Our aerosols feature a vari-nozzle for wide/narrow patterns, HVLP-style atomisation, minimal overspray and stable pressure.

Please note: 2K aerosols are supplied as Acrylic Enamel only.
